Paris, 30 November – 11 December 2015
Paris, 30 November – 11 December 2015
Several events regarding health took place at the 2015 UNFCCC Conference of the Parties (COP21). On the 8th of December, the WHO Regional Office for Africa organised an event titled “Effects of climate change on the social and environmental determinants of health in Africa: What can communities do to strengthen their climate resilience?”
This event outlined proven community-based interventions that local populations in developing countries can scale-up and take ownership of in order to strengthen their resilience to climate-sensitive diseases and conditions, including in the context of climate-induced disasters.
